Gain advanced knowledge and skills in the design and application of the core markets and their specific products of SFO. This 4-1/2 day course will introduce participants to the key functions of SFO and their responsibilities in support of both direct and indirect sales. Participants are required to complete the ANSI Products and Mag Drive Process Pumps Computer Based Training courses prior to taking this course.
You will learn to:
- Describe the basic organizational structure and markets of ITT Industries, Industrial BioPharm Group.
- Describe basic hydraulic concepts as they relate to pump performance.
- Identify specific design characteristics and IBG product features, functions and benefits with regard to the Chemical, Pulp and Paper API and General Industry markets.
- Apply and select Goulds Chemical, Pulp and Paper and Energy (API/Utility) market products.
- Describe our parts nomenclature and the organization and customer contacts for the customer service center.
- Describe the basic manufacturing processes at SFO including tours of the Foundry, ANSI Shoop and Large End Suction Shop.
- Identify types, applications and materials of construction of mechanical seals.
- Select the appropriate motor and features to best meet customer requirements.
- Describe proper baseplate installation and alignment techniques.
- Describe proper disassembly inspection and re-assembly procedures.
- Identify major competitors in our core markets and describe how to sell our products against the competition.
