Goulds Pumps 170th Anniversary and Pump Appreciation Day

2018 is a significant year for Goulds Pumps. In Spring 1848, Goulds Pumps opened its doors in Seneca Falls, Upstate New York and produced its first water pump, made of wood and banded with metal. The company later produced an all-metal pump, around the time when gold mining took off in California, a significant innovation that helped shaped industrialization. We celebrate Goulds Pumps’ 170th anniversary as well as the 7th Annual Pump Appreciation Day.

Goulds Pumps is one of oldest legacy brands in ITT’s portfolio that has been innovating for close to two centuries. We believe that our innovative heritage, coupled with our discipline and focus, we will be providing expert solutions to our customers for another 200 years.

Without pumps, factories can’t make the essential materials that support and power life. Join ITT Goulds Pumps in celebrating pumps and those who keep them running on Pump Appreciation Day, a worldwide observance on the second Tuesday in April.  To learn more about the hardworking men and women who bring our products to customers around the world, see the latest video "We are Goulds Pumps".
