Goulds Offers Larger Vertical Pumps For Water/Wastewater Applications

    6/9/2008

Seneca Falls, NY, USA – ITT Goulds Pumps has recently introduced a complete series of new, larger vertical turbine pumps.  Designated the M Series, these pumps are designed for a wide range of water/waste water applications, including: raw water intake, deep well, pressure boosting, filter backwash, transfer, as well as final effluent.
While all of the M Series are vertical turbine pumps, the MVC is a can-type and the MVS is a submersible model. The MVT-FF, MVC and MVS models all feature a common bowl assembly design. The M series covers a wide range of hydraulic conditions to meet virtually every pumping service with optimum efficiency.  The robust design of these pumps makes them ideal for the demanding high-pressure pumping requirements of reverse osmosis applications.  The heavy-duty design features ensure extended mean time between failure which produces the lowest total installed cost of any comparable product.
The MVC and MVT models have massive capacities to 65,000 GPM (14,673m3/h), heads to 3,500 feet (l,070 m) and temperatures to 500oF (260oC).  The MVS has capacities to 4,000 GPM (908m3/h) and heads to 1,400 feet (427m).
These vertical turbine pumps are available in a wide variety of materials to withstand the corrosive and erosive effects of fluids such as raw water, chlorinated water and seawater.  Materials include cast iron/bronze-fitted, all bronze and all alloy constructions.
