The ITT Goulds Pumps Inc. Seneca Falls Operation and Vertical Products Operation have earned certification to NSF/ANSI 61, the American National Standard for Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects for their 3409, 3410, 3420, 3498, VIT, and VIC models from global public health organization NSF International. Certified materials of construction for the 3409, 3410, 3420, 3498 include cast iron, stainless steel, and nickel-aluminum bronze. The VIT and VIC certified materials of construction include ductile Iron, carbon steel, cast iron, bismuth bronze, and 416 / 410 / 316L stainless.

This adds to the already certified portfolio of 3196, LF3196, 3175, and 3180 pumps, available in either cast iron or stainless steel.
To earn NSF/ANSI 61 certification, the pumps were subject to rigorous testing and evaluation to verify the product met requirements for use in treating drinking water. NSF International also audited the Seneca Falls Operation to verify compliance to the standard requirements.

About NSF International: NSF International is a global independent organization that writes standards and protocols, and tests and certifies products for the food, water and consumer goods industries to minimize adverse health effects and protect the environment. Founded in 1944, NSF is a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Center on Food Safety, Water Quality and Indoor Environment.
NSF/ANSI 61 sets health effects criteria for many water system products, components and materials. NSF/ANSI 61 addresses crucial aspects of drinking water system components such as whether contaminants that leach or migrate from the product/material into the drinking water are above acceptable levels in finished waters.
