Horizontal and vertical mounted models are available and are designed to handle wastewater and other non-corrosive liquids containing soft solids up to 9 inches in diameter (230mm) without clogging.
Substantial operating and maintenance cost savings can be achieved by fitting the NS pumps with ITT A-C Pump’s patented Equiseal ® dynamic seal. This seal uses an auxiliary expeller in the seal chamber, as pumped liquid enters the dynamic seal stuffing box cavity, it is opposed by centrifugal force generated by the auxiliary expeller. This creates a liquid sealing ring, which prevents leakage.
Equiseal dynamic seals eliminate the need for packing or mechanical shaft seals, greatly reducing stuffing box maintenance. In most applications, no outside utilities are required and no flushing liquids to source, dispose of, or dilute the process liquid. The new PumpSmart Model PS 200 is a microprocessor based, variable speed drive, programmed specifically for your pump.
The PS 200 is designed for both simplicity and functionality, making it ideal for a wide range of applications where previously process controllers were too costly and complex.
Energy savings up to 70% are obtained because at lower demands, the PS 200 reduces the motor speed eliminating the extra energy that’s used to overcome the pressure drop of control valves.
Accurate control of virtually any process parameter is obtained by the continuous monitoring (which can be remote) and reaction to both pump conditions and system demands. Pump output is matched to the exact flow and head required by the process.
The PS 200 enables the control of 2 to 4 pump systems without the need for separate PLCs and custom programming.
Pump reliability is optimized because the PS 200 protects the pump from upset conditions including dry running, low suction, cavitation, dead heading and excessive run out. These conditions are the cause of most pump and mechanical seal failures. NS Non-Clog Series pumps are available in sizes from 4 inches (100mm) to 24 inches (600mm). Capacities to 23,000 GPM (5230m3/h) and heads to 300 feet (90m). Standard features of the NS series include maximum interchangeability of parts; a universal stuffing box; a 410 stainless steel suction cover wear plate; a tapered shaft for reliability and ease of maintenance and a rear pull-out design that allows for the removal of the entire rotating element without disturbing the suction or piping.
