ITT Showcases New Products to Fuel Offshore Production, Profits

    5/4/2009

May 4, 2009, Houston, TX – Visitors to OTC 2009 will see new API compliant pumps, watermaking systems, and engineering capabilities from ITT to make offshore oil and gas production more efficient and cost effective.

Products and services being featured in the ITT booth (#5255) include:
    • Goulds Model 3610 (BB1) pump, a between-bearing, double suction process pump that is fully compliant with API 610/ISO 13709 10th Edition standards. OTC is the first public demonstration of the 3610 pump, which is now available for shipping.
    • The new C’treat ROUSTABOUTTM, a turnkey, off-the-shelf Reverse Osmosis Watermaker system, designed specifically for offshore oil applications, with many of the features requested most often by users of ITT’s custom-designed desalination systems.
    • ITT PRO Services Upgrades Engineering, a specialized group of engineers dedicated to pump modifications to improve reliability, extend equipment life, and bring pumps back into code.
    • ITT Plant Performance Services, a range of expert analysis and implementation support services to reduce total cost of ownership and improve efficiency of pump operations.
Editors: See separate releases on these products and services in the ITT news kit for OTC.

Hundreds of different ITT products are used today by thousands of customers in the worldwide oil and gas industry, supporting every step in the process – from desalination systems on offshore rigs, to submersible mixers on offshore vessels, to pump systems used to refine and transport petroleum.
Products being showcased at OTC 2009 are marketed under many product brands familiar to the O&G industry such as Goulds, Flygt, Fabri-Valve®, and C’Treat. They give engineers thousands of options for size, power and manufacturing materials to meet a specific pumping need or valve application. All of these different products share three characteristics in common.
    • They are engineered for low total costs of ownership, helping customers to improve oil and gas productivity and lower operational costs.
    • They offer high reliability and durability, made from high-quality materials and manufactured to exacting standards that distinguish ITT brands from competing products.
    • They are backed by a global network of ITT support centers and distributors that make maintenance and service available 24/7/365 – on competing products as well as ITT’s own.

ITT also maintains a commitment to environmental safety. The organization is a member of API 610 and participates on API committees to actively address the industry’s drive for increased safety and emissions containment.

“Many of our customers are familiar with a specific brand but they don’t realize the comprehensive value that ITT can bring to their business,” said Chad Tuttle, director, Oil & Gas Marketing. “We have worked with energy producers for more than 150 years and can bring a huge breadth of expertise to the processing and production needs of our oil and gas customers.”

    Numerous brands, one focus
Multiple ITT companies work together to offer complete oil and gas solutions that are “engineered for life.” The brands and products most commonly used in this industry include:
    • Goulds Pumps – Goulds Pumps is recognized worldwide as a leading supplier of pumps for exploration, transmission, processing, and distribution of petroleum products. Along with the new Model 3610, Goulds has a full line of API compliant pumps, including overhung, vertical in-line, between bearings, and multi-stage units.
    • C’treat - C’treat manufactures and supports reverse osmosis watermakers and packaged water systems for the offshore energy industry. The packaged systems are designed for reliability, simple maintenance and ease of operation. Many of the special system components have been developed and optimized for use in the offshore environment.
    • Fabri-Valve® – A brand of ITT Engineered Valves, Fabri-Valve products are proven for handling tough processing needs in oil sands and traditional oil and gas production. Fabri-Valve products are recognized for low downtime and maintenance costs in erosive drilling mud applications.
    • Flygt® – ITT Flygt submersible solutions have modernized the mixing and pumping of drilling mud for oil and gas extraction, whether on land or offshore. Flygt products offer flexibility and energy savings compared to competing submersible mixers. They also prevent sedimentation and costly manual cleaning of mud tanks.
    • Fiberbond® – ITT Fiberbond Pipe Systems is the only supplier of advanced composite piping that offers complete, single-source supply of design, fabrication, and installation of fully warranted piping systems for marine, offshore, and industrial market applications. The company specializes in new construction, expansion and retrofit projects to meet any piping needs.
    • ANGEL Services – ITT's Airborne Natural Gas Emission Lidar (ANGEL) Services delivers the energy industry's most comprehensive natural gas aerial leak survey. The service can inspect up to 1,000 miles per day and deliver Geospatial Information System (GIS) enabled corridor mapping imagery and a digital Global Positioning System (GPS) encoded video patrol. As a result, ANGEL Services provides the most reliable, economic, and safest natural gas leak survey in the industry.
    • Conoflow – Conoflow manufactures natural gas vehicle (NGV), low pressure and high pressure regulators, filter regulators, specialty regulators, positioners, transducers, actuators, and diaphragm seals in a wide variety of materials and configurations to meet the needs of oil and gas producers and a broad range of other applications.
